Overview
Coordinates IOM community-stabilization, conflict-prevention and peacebuilding projects in northern Chad. The officer plans local activities, supports field resources and representation, works with community committees and partners, develops new projects, analyses context and consolidates narrative reporting.

Responsibilities
- Support management of IOM administrative, human and logistics resources in the assigned area
- Plan and implement project activities across the province
- Support representation and coordination of IOM interventions in the field
- Facilitate community-based identification, prioritization and planning of local initiatives
- Provide technical support for stabilization and peacebuilding implementation and monitoring
- Develop partnerships and strengthen strategic partner capacity
- Identify new conflict-prevention and peacebuilding opportunities and help design projects
- Collect, analyse and synthesize information for narrative and visibility reports
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, law, international relations, political science or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with five years
- Strong project-management experience in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, social cohesion or a related field
- Good knowledge of Chad and especially the Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti context, including conflict dynamics, development and politics
- Demonstrated community-stabilization expertise
- Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fluency in spoken and written French
