Overview

Supports Mexico’s implementation of its HCFC Phase-Out Management Plan under the Montreal Protocol. The consultant coordinates workplans and stakeholders, monitors technical-cooperation activities, prepares expert terms and procurement specifications, supports tranche submissions, and reports to national authorities and UNIDO.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate implementation of the HCFC phase-out workplan
  • Monitor activities, deliverables, risks and compliance commitments
  • Draft terms of reference and technical procurement specifications
  • Prepare tranche requests, annual plans and progress reports
  • Liaise with government, industry, experts and implementing partners
  • Support related environmental programmes and final reporting

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in economics, engineering, science, environment, energy, business administration or a related field, or a first degree with three additional years of experience
  • Three years implementing technical-cooperation projects under multilateral environmental agreements
  • Fluent Spanish and working English
  • Mexican nationality or permanent residence
