Civil Engineer / Architect

Leads MONUSCO civil, architectural and infrastructure projects from feasibility and design review through procurement, field supervision and close-out, coordinating engineering teams and contractors while controlling structural quality, environmental safeguards, costs, records and delivery risks.

• Lead planning, design review and implementation of field infrastructure projects
• Validate drawings, specifications, structural calculations and bills of quantities
• Coordinate engineering teams and monitor technical performance and schedules
• Supervise contractors and enforce approved designs and contractual requirements
• Conduct site investigations and assess soil, drainage and existing infrastructure
• Establish quality-control, inspection and environmental-safeguard procedures
• Review contractor submissions, payment certificates, variations and close-out records
• Brief management on delivery progress, operational risks and corrective actions

• Experience in infrastructure engineering, construction management, architectural design and supervision or building programmes
• Experience planning projects, reviewing designs, supervising construction and administering contracts in field or post-conflict settings
• Experience preparing or reviewing drawings, bills of quantities, specifications and tender documents
• Knowledge of quality-control, site-inspection, health and safety, and environmental-compliance frameworks
• Fluency in English
