Job Description

Provides operational and coordination support for FAO’s SURAGGWA project in Nigeria. The role manages project-cycle processes, budgets, data and partner coordination while helping ensure compliant implementation, timely reporting and delivery of agricultural and food-security programme outputs.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate government, institutional and UN partners for project delivery
  • Monitor project activities, budgets and compliance with FAO procedures
  • Maintain country data on agriculture, livestock, fisheries and forestry
  • Support project-cycle management from formulation through closure
  • Process payments, reimbursements and letters of agreement
  • Prepare project reports, working papers and outreach materials
  • Support policy analysis and missions for project monitoring

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field
  • At least three years of relevant experience in agricultural development or project implementation
  • Working knowledge of English and Hausa
  • Nationality of Nigeria

  • Experience in programme or project development and management
  • Experience in food-security, agriculture or rural-development policy analysis
