Job Description

Strengthens UNICEF programme monitoring in Sudan through field visits, routine data collection, analysis and report quality assurance. The volunteer supports monitoring systems, partner follow-up, humanitarian assessments, dashboards and staff training so decision-makers receive timely and reliable evidence on programme results.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Monitor UNICEF-supported programmes, inputs, delivery and results at project sites
  • Collect, analyse and maintain routine programme and management data
  • Support rollout and use of monitoring systems across the monitoring cycle
  • Quality-assure reports for accuracy, completeness and compliance
  • Coordinate monitoring activities with field offices and third-party teams
  • Support humanitarian assessments and information on affected populations
  • Maintain dashboards and analytics for monitoring findings
  • Train UNICEF staff and partners in programme-monitoring and evaluation tools

Role Requirements

  • Relevant specialisation matched with demonstrated experience and analytical skills
  • Three to five years of proven experience in programme monitoring or data management and analysis
  • Excellent data-collection, analysis and interpretation skills
  • Proficiency with data-visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant statistical software
  • Experience working in complex and challenging environments
  • English and Arabic
