The specialist will originate, structure and execute development-finance transactions across Asia and the Pacific, combining market analysis, blended-finance design, due diligence and investment monitoring with technical assistance, partner engagement and management of investment-linked initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Scope markets and financing landscapes to identify investment opportunities and policy barriers
- Design blended-finance vehicles, derisking instruments and investment-readiness support
- Engage co-investors, development finance institutions and private-sector partners
- Screen opportunities, conduct due diligence and analyse financial statements and risk-return profiles
- Build financial models and prepare investment appraisal memorandums for approval
- Structure and monitor loans, guarantees, grants and performance-based payments
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to investees and government counterparts
- Manage investment-linked workplans, budgets, donor reporting, monitoring and project close-out
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in development, business administration, finance, marketing, economics, accounting or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years with a master’s degree or nine years with a bachelor’s degree in the financial or private sector
- At least five years of investment experience across relevant development-finance instruments or sectors
- Experience in venture capital or banking within an international financial environment
- Competency in financial modelling and analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Written and spoken fluency in English
