Interpreter

Provides high-level English-Arabic interpretation and translation for the UN Special Envoy's office, supporting negotiations, conferences, missions and official communications while maintaining terminology resources, linguistic accuracy, cultural adaptation and confidentiality in sensitive engagements.

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous English-Arabic interpretation
• Deliver escort and field interpretation for delegations
• Translate official correspondence, reports and agreements
• Review translations for accuracy and UN terminology
• Maintain terminology databases and glossaries
• Coordinate interpretation for sensitive engagements

• First-level university degree or equivalent
• At least five years of English-Arabic translation and interpretation experience
• UN Level IV proficiency in English and Arabic
• Jordanian nationality

• Reports to the Chief of Staff
