Overview

Supports OSESGY procurement officers with requisitions, tenders, bid analysis, purchase orders, supplier follow-up and contract records. The role helps acquire mission goods and services economically and on time while coordinating deliveries, inspections and procurement documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement, logistics and administrative support for acquiring mission goods and services
  • Review and prioritise purchase requests and verify vendor and funding availability
  • Monitor requisitions, supplier delivery, shipment, receipt and inspection of goods and services
  • Prepare invitations to bid, requests for proposals and requests for quotation
  • Analyse bids and proposals to identify suppliers offering suitable terms and value
  • Finalise purchase orders and contracts and prepare submissions for Contracts Committee review
  • Maintain procurement databases, files and contractual records
  • Research suppliers, commodities and product specifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CIPS Procurement Level 4 certificate
  • Five years of progressively responsible procurement, administrative services or related experience, reduced to three years with a first-level university degree
  • Experience using an ERP system such as SAP or Umoja
  • English at UN Level III in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • Arabic at UN Level I in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • Authorisation to work for the United Nations at the duty station
