Responsibilities

  • Review, record and prioritise purchasing requests and obtain supporting documentation
  • Monitor requisitions, supplier contact, shipment coordination and receipt inspection
  • Produce tender documents based on requirements and procurement cost
  • Prepare abstracts of offers and compile quotation, proposal and bid data
  • Finalise purchase orders and contracts for approval and prepare Contracts Committee submissions when required
  • Support complex purchasing operations and coordinate procurement documents and follow-up actions
  • Maintain procurement databases, files, contractual agreements and systems contracts
  • Research and present information on supply sources, vendors and product specifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in procurement, administrative services or a related area, reduced to three years with a university degree
  • English is required
