Responsibilities
- Review, record and prioritise purchasing requests and obtain supporting documentation
- Monitor requisitions, supplier contact, shipment coordination and receipt inspection
- Produce tender documents based on requirements and procurement cost
- Prepare abstracts of offers and compile quotation, proposal and bid data
- Finalise purchase orders and contracts for approval and prepare Contracts Committee submissions when required
- Support complex purchasing operations and coordinate procurement documents and follow-up actions
- Maintain procurement databases, files, contractual agreements and systems contracts
- Research and present information on supply sources, vendors and product specifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of experience in procurement, administrative services or a related area, reduced to three years with a university degree
- English is required

- Temporary appointment for an initial six months as parental leave cover, with possible extension
