Responsibilities
- Review purchase requests, specifications and funding availability
- Identify suppliers and prepare tender and quotation documents
- Analyse bids and recommend best-value procurement outcomes
- Negotiate order terms and finalise purchase orders and contracts
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and process returns to vendors
- Maintain supplier, contract and procurement databases
- Research markets, commodities and new product specifications
- Supervise and review the work of junior staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CIPS Procurement Level 4 certificate
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible procurement or administrative experience
- Supply-chain and contract-management experience
- ERP experience with SAP or UMOJA
- English and Arabic at UN Level II
