Delivers specialist teaching for the Higher Diploma in Drug Control, developing lectures, learning resources and assessments, evaluating participant work and refining course content to strengthen professional knowledge of drug treatment, control and crime-prevention standards.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver specialist lectures for the Higher Diploma in Drug Control
  • Develop presentations and supporting learning resources
  • Provide subject-matter input aligned with international drug-control standards
  • Design examination questions and assessment tools
  • Mark scripts and assignments and provide structured feedback
  • Improve course content and teaching approaches using participant feedback

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, criminology, behavioural sciences, public health, statistics, data analysis, economics, public policy or a related field, or a relevant bachelor’s degree with two additional years of experience
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience in drug treatment, toxicology, addiction treatment, rehabilitation, social reintegration, public health, research or statistical analysis
  • Experience delivering academic or professional training, including curriculum development and lectures
  • Fluency in English and Arabic

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of the international drug-control and crime-prevention regime
  • Experience delivering training or technical assistance in the GCC or MENA region
  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language

Skills to Have

Additional info

  • Home-based consultancy with possible official travel to Riyadh
  • Assignment runs from 7 to 30 September 2026
