Immunization (Polio EPI) Consultant

Strengthens routine immunisation and polio-eradication delivery in a high-risk province by analysing coverage and surveillance data, improving microplanning and cold-chain management, coordinating health partners and mentoring frontline teams to reach zero-dose and under-immunised children.

• Analyse immunisation and surveillance data to identify coverage and immunity gaps
• Support evidence-based microplanning for routine and supplementary immunisation
• Guide vaccine and cold-chain management and supportive supervision
• Strengthen disease surveillance and outbreak preparedness and response
• Prioritise strategies for zero-dose and under-immunised children
• Coordinate provincial teams, implementing partners and health authorities
• Support community engagement and demand generation for vaccination
• Mentor frontline health workers and strengthen programme accountability

• Bachelor degree in medicine, health, public health, family health, child development, nursing or a related field
• At least two years of professional experience in immunisation, public health, primary care, surveillance or child-health programmes
• Experience with field implementation, monitoring, immunisation data analysis, microplanning, supervision and health-worker capacity building
• Technical knowledge of routine and supplementary immunisation, vaccine-preventable disease and cold-chain management
• English and Pashto
• Afghan nationality

• Office-based consultancy with travel
• Contract duration is six months
