Summary of Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with human rights and humanitarian law
  • Collect and analyse evidence for early warning and accountability
  • Conduct field verification and investigative missions
  • Draft reports, briefings and legal analysis
  • Advise counterparts on legislation and security-sector reform
  • Support protection-of-civilians and child-protection strategies
  • Contribute to donor engagement and proposal development

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in human rights, law, political science, international relations, social sciences, economics, public policy, sustainable development or humanitarian affairs
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in human rights or related areas
  • English

Desired Criteria

  • Planning and coordination skills in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Knowledge of regional and international human rights mechanisms
