Human Rights Officer

Monitors and investigates human-rights conditions in Cabo Delgado, gathering evidence, conducting field verification and advising on protection, accountability and legal reform. The temporary appointment turns analysis into reports, early warning and coordinated responses with national and UN partners.

• Monitor compliance with human rights and humanitarian law
• Collect and analyse evidence for early warning and accountability
• Conduct field verification and investigative missions
• Draft reports, briefings and legal analysis
• Advise counterparts on legislation and security-sector reform
• Support protection-of-civilians and child-protection strategies
• Contribute to donor engagement and proposal development

• Advanced degree in human rights, law, political science, international relations, social sciences, economics, public policy, sustainable development or humanitarian affairs
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in human rights or related areas
• English

• Planning and coordination skills in a multi-stakeholder environment
