Job Description
Designs the Climate Security Mechanism annual progress report for audiences following climate, peace and security work. The online volunteer gathers design requirements, develops a branded visual concept, produces a publication of about 30 pages with supporting graphics and incorporates feedback from the joint CSM team.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect audience, style and branding requirements for the annual progress report
- Create a draft publication design with Climate Security Mechanism focal points
- Design the annual progress report and up to ten supporting graphics
- Apply United Nations communication and corporate-branding standards
- Revise and finalise the publication design from stakeholder feedback
- Coordinate design delivery with the CSM Secretariat and wider joint team
Role Requirements
- Professional work experience in graphic design
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Examples of graphic work or a portfolio in the motivation section
Desired Criteria
- Multimedia-content experience for social media, websites and dissemination channels
- Experience with video production, graphic design and photo editing
- Track record of designing reports or publications
- Ability to work autonomously
- Interest in development and climate, peace and security
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language
