Graphic designing for the Climate Security Mechanism (CSM)

Designs the Climate Security Mechanism annual progress report for audiences following climate, peace and security work. The online volunteer gathers design requirements, develops a branded visual concept, produces a publication of about 30 pages with supporting graphics and incorporates feedback from the joint CSM team.

• Collect audience, style and branding requirements for the annual progress report
• Create a draft publication design with Climate Security Mechanism focal points
• Design the annual progress report and up to ten supporting graphics
• Apply United Nations communication and corporate-branding standards
• Revise and finalise the publication design from stakeholder feedback
• Coordinate design delivery with the CSM Secretariat and wider joint team

• Professional work experience in graphic design
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Examples of graphic work or a portfolio in the motivation section

• Multimedia-content experience for social media, websites and dissemination channels
• Experience with video production, graphic design and photo editing
• Track record of designing reports or publications
• Ability to work autonomously
• Interest in development and climate, peace and security
• Knowledge of another official United Nations language
