Financial System Strengthening Associate Consultant

Supports Adamawa State health authorities to strengthen financial systems under the EU SARAH grant by rolling out accounting software, training finance teams, reviewing grant performance and controls, and building practical knowledge systems for accountable primary-health-care delivery.

• Deliver state-level training of trainers on the accounting software
• Lead accounting-software rollout and data migration across participating health entities
• Train primary-health-care accountants at state, local-government and ward levels
• Report quarterly on financial-system strengthening achievements, risks and recommendations
• Establish knowledge systems for financial-management lessons and good practice
• Review quarterly grant performance and analyse variances for corrective action
• Assess financial controls in selected local-government areas with audit and finance teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Audit or another relevant field
• At least five years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, financial controls and partnership management
• Experience supporting donor-funded health programmes
• Fluency in written and spoken English

• Office-based national consultancy for 12 months
