Responsibilities
- Review invoices and supporting documents for compliance with United Nations financial rules and procedures
- Coordinate cheque, cash and wire-transfer payments with processing offices
- Track invoices, claims, local advances, receivables and payables through settlement
- Prepare petty-cash, expenditure, commitment and year-end financial reports
- Monitor budget implementation, obligations and expenditures
- Maintain financial archives and respond to transaction queries from staff and vendors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational certificate in accounting or finance
- At least five years of experience in accounting, finance or a related area, reduced to three years with a first-level university degree or higher
- Experience using SAP or a similar enterprise resource planning system
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- English and Arabic at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking
