Responsibilities

  • Participate in field operations covering communication, reception and geological risk monitoring
  • Organise and safely guide community members during emergency evacuations
  • Support shelter operations and help address community needs at reception points
  • Monitor warning signs and threats and act to mitigate potential harm
  • Provide basic first-aid guidance and support emergency communication
  • Promote awareness of local risks, safe practices and community resilience
  • Organise operational materials and equipment and comply with safety protocols
  • Collect field information and produce weekly and monthly activity reports

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or two additional years of relevant experience beyond the stated experience requirement
  • Experience in social mobilisation activities and social work in informal settlements or urban communities
  • Fluency in Portuguese
  • Brazilian nationality or permanent residence in Brazil
