Provides senior strategic and technical support for a regional multi-communicable disease elimination framework and investment case. Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and written technical input to finalise the regional MCDE framework
- Consult technical experts and consolidate their contributions to the framework and strategy document
- Review and refine the MCDE strategy document for Regional Committee implementation
- Advise on the communicable-disease elements of the MCDE investment case and review OECD-produced content
- Develop two integrated multi-communicable disease elimination packages
- Supervise and evaluate implementation with two countries participating in the HAI surveillance project
- Support HAI point prevalence surveys and contribute to the agenda and delivery of the sustainability workshop
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in medicine with specialisation in public health and/or infectious diseases
- More than ten years of experience as an infectious-disease specialist and at ministerial level, including clinical, leadership and policy-development experience
- Expert English and Arabic
