Consultant for Child and Maternal Health in Multiservice Centres

Provides technical cooperation on maternal, sexual, reproductive and child health for multiservice centres assisting migrants and refugees in Mexico. The consultancy strengthens frontline health-worker capacity, supports referral and prevention practices and tracks delivery across maternal and childhood health components.

Department: Social Determinants for Health Equity, Mexico Country Office

• Support technical cooperation activities on maternal and child health
• Train multiservice-centre staff on malnutrition screening and timely referral
• Build health-worker capacity on vaccination, childhood illness warning signs and child development
• Coordinate national technical meetings on maternal and child health
• Facilitate national workshops and adapt regional tools to local needs
• Identify opportunities to expand cooperation between PAHO and Mexican health entities
• Prepare six progress reports covering technical-cooperation delivery

• Professional qualification in Medicine or Nursing
• At least three years of professional experience at local, subnational or national level

• Six-month national consultancy
• Maximum remuneration is MXN 172,800 paid in six instalments
• Consultants are responsible for applicable taxes and social-security contributions
