Job Description
Strengthen the visibility and stakeholder engagement of UNDP's Area-Based Recovery project in Mykolaiv through timely, gender-responsive communications. The role develops regional media plans and campaigns, produces bilingual content and social-media updates, supports press and donor events, documents project learning, and applies UNDP standards to communications that make recovery results accessible to diverse audiences.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional communication and media plans
- Design targeted communication campaigns and contribute outreach components to project concept notes
- Write press releases, media advisories and feature stories in English and Ukrainian
- Update UNDP social-media platforms with project achievements
- Edit reports and promotional materials to UNDP communication standards
- Coordinate production of audio, video, animation and print products
- Organize media events and prepare donor-mission background materials
- Document project best practices and lessons learned
Role Requirements
- Secondary education
- At least 7 years of practical communications experience with secondary education or 4 years with a bachelor's degree
- Experience using office software packages
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills in English and Ukrainian
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Ukrainian for local personnel
Desired Criteria
- Proficiency in graphic-design tools and multimedia editing software
- Experience developing communications strategies or plans
- Experience cooperating with international, governmental and non-governmental organizations
