WFP seeks a National Programme Policy Officer in Brazzaville to lead emergency preparedness, shock-responsive food and cash assistance and adaptive social protection, coordinating government and humanitarian partners, strengthening early-warning systems and translating evidence into operational decisions.

Department: Programme Unit, WFP Republic of the Congo

• Coordinate planning, delivery, monitoring and review of WFP Activity 1
• Lead country-office emergency preparedness and response coordination
• Strengthen early-warning, anticipatory-action and contingency-planning systems
• Design shock-response and early-recovery programmes using food or cash modalities
• Support adaptive social-protection systems and interoperability with WFP platforms
• Analyse food-security and operational evidence and advise decision-makers
• Build government and partner capacity and maintain accountable programme monitoring

• Advanced university degree in international relations, economics, nutrition or health, agriculture, environmental science, social science, public policy, disaster-risk management or a related field, or a first university degree with two additional years of relevant experience or training
• At least one year of relevant experience with an advanced degree or three years with a first university degree
• Fluent French at Level C and intermediate English at Level B
• National-officer eligibility for the Republic of the Congo

• The 12-month national officer appointment is based in Brazzaville
