Biodiversity projects Assistant

Supports UNDP and Jordan’s Ministry of Environment across biodiversity projects and national monitoring, coordinating BIOFIN and NBSAP activities, tracking plans and deliverables, validating biodiversity indicators, maintaining the monitoring platform and Clearing-House Mechanism and coordinating partners.

Department: Environment Portfolio and Nature Protection Directorate

• Coordinate administrative and operational support for BIOFIN and NBSAP activities
• Organise biodiversity meetings, workshops, consultations, training and public events
• Maintain workplan, deliverable, stakeholder and document trackers
• Compile documentation for project reporting, donor updates and procurement planning
• Collect, clean and validate biodiversity data and indicators from national partners
• Update the biodiversity monitoring platform and national Clearing-House Mechanism
• Document platform needs, data gaps and technical updates
• Prepare data summaries, dashboards, guidance and progress updates
• Coordinate information flow among UNDP, the Ministry, consultants and national stakeholders

• First-level university degree in an environmental or related field, or relevant training and professional experience in project, administrative, data or environmental programme support
• At least one year of relevant experience in administration, project coordination, operations, programme assistance, data management or monitoring support
• Experience organising meetings, workshops, consultations or events
• Experience collecting, cleaning, tracking and presenting data
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Excellent spoken and written Arabic

• Volunteer Living Allowance of JOD 916.06 per month
