Summary of Responsibilities
- Participate in recruitment processes and interview boards for area staff and other personnel
- Screen applications against established criteria and resolve discrepancies with hiring departments
- Prepare and review vacancy advertisements for compliance with approved post descriptions
- Coordinate technical tests and interviews and notify candidates of schedules
- Coordinate recruitment plans and timelines with hiring managers
- Prepare recruitment reports, statistical analyses and personnel rosters
- Respond to applicant queries and arrange interview-board and test appointments
Role Requirements
- University degree in human resources management, public administration or business administration
- At least three years of human-resources management experience in an international, governmental or commercial organisation, including one year at supervisory level
- English reading, writing, listening and speaking at UN Level II
- Arabic reading, writing, listening and speaking at UN Level III
- Current UNRWA internal-candidate status and residence in West Bank or Jerusalem within commuting distance of the duty station
- Valid authorisation to work at the duty station
Desired Criteria
- Recruitment experience within the required human-resources background
- Residence in West Bank or Jerusalem with a corresponding identity document
