Job Description

This UN Volunteer assignment supports WHO Tunisia’s rabies prevention work through community engagement and a Science and Society survey. The volunteer helps organise fieldwork, collect and validate data, engage communities, and prepare evidence and communications that strengthen public-health action.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise field data-collection activities
  • Plan field visits and prepare survey tools and materials
  • Coordinate with local implementation partners
  • Conduct interviews and collect data using standardised questionnaires
  • Support community information and awareness activities
  • Enter, organise, verify and validate collected data
  • Compile findings and support reports, presentations and recommendations
  • Participate in coordination meetings and share field progress and challenges
  • Promote volunteerism, community participation and public-health awareness

Role Requirements

  • Up to one year of relevant professional or volunteer experience in public health, social sciences, community engagement, data collection or a related field
  • Fluency in Arabic and French

Desired Criteria

  • Experience conducting interviews, qualitative surveys or field data collection
  • Basic data-management and analysis experience
  • Experience working with communities and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with international organisations, NGOs, research institutions or public-health projects
