Overview
Coordinates safe and efficient ramp operations for United Nations mission aircraft in Santo Domingo. The assistant dispatches crews, manages ground-handling and refuelling support, guides passengers, enforces ramp safety, maintains operational records and liaises with aviation and airport authorities.

Responsibilities
- Carry out ramp operations and enforce aircraft safety zones
- Coordinate aircrew dispatch and ground-handling services
- Check aviation notices and support safe aircraft refuelling
- Guide passengers through boarding and disembarkation with movement-control staff
- Inspect ground-support equipment and coordinate foreign-object-debris prevention
- Record ramp activities and report incidents, near misses and damage
- Coordinate flight arrivals and departures with the mission air-operations centre
- Liaise with civil aviation, airport and military-police authorities
Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of progressively responsible air-transport operations experience, reduced to three years with a first-level university degree
- Experience in ramp safety or aircraft ground-handling practices
- English and Spanish at the required United Nations proficiency levels
