Overview

Coordinate MONUSCO air operations across Beni and Entebbe by planning flight requirements, applying UN and international aviation rules, arranging medical evacuation and VIP missions, allocating aircraft, managing risk, supporting search and rescue, coordinating partners and converting safety reports into corrective action.

Responsibilities

  • Plan air transport under UN, ICAO, IATA and host-country procedures
  • Verify flights against tasking orders and daily schedules
  • Arrange CASEVAC, MEDEVAC, VIP and other special missions
  • Support integrated search-and-rescue operations
  • Assess aviation risks and implement mitigation measures
  • Allocate aircraft efficiently against operational requirements
  • Maintain current procedures and reference materials for aircrews
  • Analyse safety reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus air-transport, flight-operations, pilot or air-traffic-control qualification
  • At least five years of aviation-industry experience, including three years in air transport operations
  • Experience applying ICAO standards and recommended practices
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • English proficiency
