AfCFTA Intern

Support implementation of the One Trade Africa programme and engagement with the AfCFTA Secretariat, government and private-sector partners. The internship combines project coordination, stakeholder liaison, research, data analysis and communications to strengthen Ghana-focused trade and MSME interventions.

Department: Office for Africa, One Trade Africa Programme

• Support One Trade Africa activities in Ghana and alignment with AfCFTA processes
• Coordinate activities with the AfCFTA Secretariat and Accra-based partners
• Track interventions and follow up actions from programme meetings
• Organise consultations, training, policy dialogues and high-level visits
• Liaise with government agencies, business-support organisations and private-sector actors
• Research AfCFTA, MSME development and regional trade issues
• Collect and analyse data and prepare policy briefs and analytical notes
• Capture results, success stories and lessons for programme communications

• Current enrolment in a graduate programme or the final year of a bachelor’s programme, or graduation from an eligible university programme with the internship starting within one year
• Studies in business, international trade, foreign affairs, development or a related field
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office and social media
• Written and oral communication and analytical ability

• The internship lasts six months
• The internship is unpaid
• Travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the intern or sponsoring institution
• Workplans may be adjusted around academic requirements
