Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct rapid and post-disaster WASH needs assessments with national and provincial partners
  • Plan, implement and report emergency WASH supply distribution against agreed workplans and budgets
  • Coordinate partners, supply teams and finance providers to deliver WASH supplies and Cash Plus recovery support
  • Monitor field implementation and collect disaggregated beneficiary data on supply use
  • Support local authorities and community leaders to strengthen participation, ownership and accountability
  • Report response progress under UNICEF humanitarian-performance criteria
  • Provide technical inputs to WASH coordination groups, response plans and early-recovery work

Role Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor's degree with six years of experience, or master's degree with three years of experience
  • Experience supporting UNICEF, United Nations agencies, government or NGOs in community-based WASH programming
  • Field experience in WASH and community mobilisation
  • Technical knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, school WASH, water-supply management, integrated water resources, behaviour change, monitoring and evaluation
  • Fluency in Vietnamese

Desired Criteria

  • Emergency WASH response and cluster-coordination experience
  • Working proficiency in English for technical reporting and coordination
