Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design, delivery and monitoring of animal-health technician activities
  • Assess beneficiary needs and develop targeted coaching and training programmes
  • Track technician businesses and mentoring progress with advisers and coaches
  • Design and manage compliant procurement and distribution of starter kits
  • Coordinate workshops, field visits, stakeholder meetings and agribusiness training
  • Integrate technicians into zoonotic-disease surveillance, early warning and reporting
  • Prepare workplans, donor reports, knowledge products and implementation evidence

Requirements

  • University degree in agriculture
  • At least five years of animal-health experience
  • Working knowledge of English at FAO level C
  • South African nationality
  • Knowledge of animal-health stakeholders
