Job Description

Students gain supervised practical experience in applied-physics projects at CERN, supporting technical work with instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition and radiation measurements. Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers, technicians and scientists in applied physics projects
  • Contribute to instrumentation, sensor, data-acquisition and radiation-measurement activities
  • Undertake supervised day-to-day technical activities
  • Collaborate and exchange ideas with an international multidisciplinary team

Role Requirements

  • Currently studying in the stated field or a related discipline
  • Required or encouraged by the university to complete a practical training period
  • Completed at least 18 months of studies at the time of selection
  • National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
  • Remain enrolled as a full-time student during the studentship
