Responsibilities

  • Requisition funds to meet current operational requirements
  • Receive and safeguard international funds
  • Execute authorised payments, receipts, deposits and withdrawals
  • Maintain automated accounting records and local and foreign bank accounts
  • Manage records for funds advanced to account holders
  • Coordinate financial transactions with banks, tax and social-security offices
  • Handle disbursement activities during deployments
  • Maintain complete current and historical records for audit
  • Administer branch files and supporting financial documentation

Requirements

  • Higher secondary education with intermediate vocational training in accounting, finance, management or public administration and two years of experience, or secondary education with advanced vocational training and four years
  • Prior financial-management or disbursing experience
  • Professional English proficiency at NATO SLP 3333
  • Host-nation Turkish language capability
  • Nationality of a NATO member country
  • Age and appointment eligibility under the stated NATO limits
  • Eligibility for NATO security clearance and medical certification
