Job Description
The Central Africa Services Trade Specialist supports ITC’s CEEAC Services programme in Yaoundé through project coordination, technical expertise and capacity building. The consultancy advances services-trade liberalisation, regional policy work, stakeholder engagement and reporting under the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support programme coordination and stakeholder collaboration
- Follow communication with national services focal points and track requests and documentation
- Contribute to terms of reference and coordinate national and regional experts
- Track regional services-trade developments and prepare analytical notes
- Support institutional partners and capacity building
- Support workshops, seminars and conferences and prepare related reports
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps and action plans for selected CEEAC services sectors
- Contribute to workplans, technical reports and implementation reports on services-trade agreements
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in economics, management, agro-economics or a related field, or a bachelor degree with two additional years of relevant experience
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in services trade or a related field
- Fluency in French and English
- Knowledge of AfCFTA protocols and the Central African business environment
- Understanding of priority AfCFTA services sectors and public and private sector issues in Central Africa
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Desired Criteria
- Multi-country experience in development projects
- Experience conducting economic studies
- Project monitoring and reporting experience
- Professional experience in Central Africa
