Senior Technician (Networks, Data and Voice)

Operates and supports NATO voice and network services in Brussels, diagnosing incidents, configuring infrastructure, patching unified-communications platforms, monitoring performance, troubleshooting equipment, improving configurations and maintaining procedures for services delivered to NATO customers.

Department: NATO Communications and Information Agency

• Provide first- and second-line support for network and voice services
• Diagnose and resolve unified-communications incidents and problems
• Install, replace, modify and configure network systems
• Monitor infrastructure and proactively resolve potential service issues
• Patch supported unified-communications software
• Investigate equipment and configuration problems and propose improvements
• Maintain operating procedures and technical documentation
• Report on voice-infrastructure performance and service condition

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with two years of post-related experience, or secondary education with four years of post-related experience
• At least two years of experience in a similar role
• Microsoft Lync certification or equivalent experience
• At least two years operating, deploying and configuring unified-communications systems
• Knowledge of VoIP and unified-communications protocols and standards
• Fluency in written and spoken English
