Senior Programme Manager - Climate Action

Lead UNOPS global Climate Action Programme by translating strategy into annual plans, managing delivery, budgets and resources, directing the programme team, coordinating partners, overseeing environmental reporting, managing risks and advising senior leadership on decarbonisation and climate policy.

Department: Executive Office

• Translate the climate programme strategy into annual implementation plans
• Manage programme delivery, budgets, resources and performance indicators
• Lead and develop the Climate Action Programme team
• Coordinate technical experts, partners and internal stakeholders
• Oversee environmental inventory data collection and reporting
• Manage programme risks and advise on climate policy and decarbonisation

• Bachelor degree with nine years or master degree with seven years of relevant experience
• Experience in climate science, international climate policy or intergovernmental climate agreements
• Leadership experience in change management
• Fluency in English

• Regular international individual contractor agreement at IICA-3 and ICS-11
