Senior Officer, Global Surge

Leads IFRC global surge systems for disaster operations, coordinating rapid-response personnel and equipment, maintaining deployment tools and registers, improving training and quality assurance, and guiding regional plans, partnerships and resources so emergency support is timely, accountable and fit for purpose.

• Lead global surge systems for emergency personnel and equipment deployment
• Coordinate surge working groups, regional roadmaps and partner networks
• Maintain deployment databases, registers and competency frameworks
• Design training, evaluations and quality-assurance improvements
• Develop project proposals and manage surge-related resources and finances

• University degree and disaster-management training
• At least seven years of relevant disaster-management experience
• Red Cross or Red Crescent experience
• Fluency in English
• Legal eligibility to work in a country where IFRC has an office

• National staff position open globally to eligible nationals where IFRC has an office
