Supports UNHCR relations with Sudanese authorities and external partners by managing protocol follow-up, correspondence, briefings and information flows. The role tracks political and operational developments, coordinates meetings and queries, maintains records and backs up unit leadership.

Responsibilities
- Draft routine correspondence, reports, briefing materials and statistical tables
- Track government and international developments affecting UNHCR relations and operations
- Maintain working relations with authorities, implementing partners and external organisations
- Liaise with government partners on information requests and pending protocol issues
- Manage external queries and anticipate required follow-up action
- Support workshops, trainings, seminars and government-related meetings
- Track expenditures and support budget management when requested
- Interpret and translate when required and maintain information on persons of concern
Requirements
- Two years of relevant experience with a high school diploma, or one year with a bachelors degree or higher
- Knowledge of English or the UN working language of the duty station
- Written and verbal proficiency in English
