Responsibilities

  • Co-lead UN inter-agency coordination on DDR and CVR frameworks in Haiti
  • Represent IOM in national DDR, CVR and secured-neighbourhood return coordination platforms
  • Lead technical formulation and monitoring of DDR action plans, SOPs and guidance
  • Support the National Commission for DDR on framework development, operational tools and implementation
  • Coordinate government, UN, donor and civil society actors engaged in DDR
  • Support safe and sustainable voluntary return planning for displaced populations to secured neighbourhoods
  • Advise IOM Haiti programmes on DDRR and CVR design, planning and implementation
  • Contribute to resource mobilisation, donor briefings, reports, policy briefs and knowledge products

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social science, law, international relations, peace and stabilization studies or a related field with seven years of relevant professional experience, or university degree with nine years
  • Proven experience in programme design, intra-governmental and/or inter-agency coordination, project management and oversight
  • Specific international experience in DDR and CVR programmes or engagement in stabilization sector initiatives is required
  • Experience in project implementation, capacity building, information management and support to grants and fund management
  • Certification in Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments is required
  • Fluency in English and French is required
