Overview

Lead data governance for IFRC’s digital transformation portfolio across one of four eligible country duty stations. The officer will develop policy and accountability frameworks, improve data quality and cataloguing, oversee privacy and access controls, and embed governance in Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce enterprise data governance frameworks, policies and standards
  • Define data ownership, stewardship, classification and accountability models
  • Lead privacy impact assessments, access governance and data quality initiatives
  • Implement data cataloguing and governance capabilities in Microsoft Purview and Fabric
  • Build awareness and deliver training on responsible data management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics or a related field
  • At least five years of data governance experience
  • Experience operating in a regulated sector
  • Fluency in English
