The UN Resident Coordinator System seeks a Resident Coordinator in Vientiane to represent the UN, lead the country team and Cooperation Framework, align system-wide support with Laos's priorities, mobilize partnerships and financing, oversee security where designated, and manage the coordinator's office.

• Represent the United Nations at the highest levels of state and engage government and national partners
• Lead the UN country team, Cooperation Framework, joint analysis and Sustainable Development Goal delivery
• Coordinate system-wide development support, prevention and humanitarian-development linkages
• Build strategic partnerships and mobilize financing for joint UN priorities
• Promote human rights, gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding and strategic communication
• Manage the Resident Coordinator's Office and inter-agency security arrangements where designated

• A master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or an accepted first degree with suitable qualifications and experience
• At least 15 years of substantive international leadership experience
• At least five cumulative years of relevant country-level work outside the candidate's own country
