Responsibilities
- Represent the United Nations at senior state level and engage government, civil society and partners
- Lead the UN country team's Cooperation Framework, joint analysis and sustainable-development delivery
- Coordinate system-wide support, risk prevention and humanitarian-development linkages
- Build strategic partnerships and mobilize financing for joint UN priorities
- Promote human rights, gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding and strategic communication
- Manage the Resident Coordinator's Office and lead inter-agency security arrangements where designated
Requirements
- A master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or an accepted first degree with a suitable combination of qualifications and experience
- At least 15 years of substantive international leadership experience
- At least five cumulative years of relevant country-level work outside the candidate's own country
- Membership in the Resident Coordinator Pool where required by the vacancy process
