Overview
The UN Resident Coordinator System seeks a Resident Coordinator in Suva to represent the UN, lead the country team and Cooperation Framework, align system-wide support with Fiji's priorities, mobilize partnerships and financing, oversee security where designated, and manage the coordinator's office.

Responsibilities
- Represent the United Nations at the highest levels of state and engage diverse national partners
- Lead the UN country team's Cooperation Framework, joint analysis and SDG delivery
- Coordinate system-wide support, prevention, humanitarian-development linkages and common operations
- Forge partnerships and mobilize financing for joint UN priorities and Agenda 2030
- Promote human rights, gender equality, safeguarding and inclusive development
- Manage and provide strategic guidance to the Resident Coordinator's Office and security arrangements where designated
Requirements
- A master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or an accepted first degree with a suitable combination of qualifications and experience
- At least 15 years of substantive international leadership experience
- At least five cumulative years of relevant country-level work outside the candidate's own country
- Membership in the Resident Coordinator Pool where required by the vacancy process
