Responsibilities
- Represent the United Nations at the highest levels of state and engage government and national partners
- Lead the UN country team, Cooperation Framework, joint analysis and Sustainable Development Goal delivery
- Coordinate system-wide development support, risk prevention and humanitarian-development linkages
- Build strategic partnerships and mobilize public and private financing for joint priorities
- Promote human rights, gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding and strategic communication
- Manage the Resident Coordinator's Office and inter-agency security arrangements where designated
Requirements
- A master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or an accepted first degree with suitable qualifications and experience
- More than 15 years of substantive international leadership experience
- At least five cumulative years of relevant country-level work outside the candidate's own country
- Previous Resident Coordinator experience or qualifying senior-level inter-agency coordination experience
