Responsibilities

  • Represent the United Nations at the highest levels of state and engage government and national partners
  • Lead the UN country team, Cooperation Framework, joint analysis and Sustainable Development Goal delivery
  • Coordinate system-wide development support, risk prevention and humanitarian-development linkages
  • Build strategic partnerships and mobilize public and private financing for joint priorities
  • Promote human rights, gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding and strategic communication
  • Manage the Resident Coordinator's Office and inter-agency security arrangements where designated

Requirements

  • A master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or an accepted first degree with suitable qualifications and experience
  • More than 15 years of substantive international leadership experience
  • At least five cumulative years of relevant country-level work outside the candidate's own country
  • Previous Resident Coordinator experience or qualifying senior-level inter-agency coordination experience
