Job Description

Provides psychological assessment, counselling and case management for unaccompanied migrant children in IOM accommodation services, coordinating individual action plans, referrals, safeguarding and integration support while maintaining case records and preparing children for transition.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assess children's mental health and prepare psychological evaluations
  • Deliver individual and group counselling, psychosocial activities and crisis-support interventions
  • Refer children to appropriate medical and mental-health services
  • Develop individual action plans and best-interest assessments with guardians and shelter teams
  • Maintain confidential case files covering health, education, legal status and psychosocial history
  • Support children's shelter entry, integration, safeguarding awareness and departure preparation
  • Escort children to services and activities and coordinate practical shelter support
  • Map accessible national and humanitarian mental-health and psychosocial services

Role Requirements

  • University degree in psychology
  • Professional practice licence or registration with the relevant association
  • Fluent written and spoken Greek and working knowledge of English or French
  • Computer literacy and ability to work with minimal supervision under difficult conditions
  • Availability for morning or evening shifts, holidays, weekends and night emergencies

Desired Criteria

  • Master's degree in psychology
  • Experience working with children
  • Valid driving licence with five years of driving experience
