Overview

Supports IOM’s assisted voluntary return and reintegration programme by organising psychosocial training, counselling vulnerable returnees, coordinating community sensitisation and monitoring partner activities. The role documents cases and reports on mental-health and psychosocial support delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Organise psychosocial-support training for IOM and partner staff
  • Deliver community sensitisation and recreational activities
  • Provide reintegration assistance and maintain vulnerable-case records
  • Support daily MHPSS activities within the AVRR programme
  • Prepare MHPSS reports and coordinate information exchange
  • Provide basic counselling to returning migrants
  • Monitor activities delivered by IOM and local partners

Requirements

  • Four years of relevant experience, reduced to two years for degree holders, in psychology, counselling or a related field
  • At least two years of programme experience with MHPSS components
  • Experience with vulnerable groups, counselling or protection interventions
  • Ability to manage and report activity data with confidentiality controls
  • Experience using creative approaches for psychosocial activities
  • Working knowledge of Hausa or another relevant local language
