Programme Analyst

Supports delivery of a sustainable urban development project in Niterói by coordinating activities, consultations, data and urban indicators, partner engagement, deliverables and implementation risks for public planning in informal settlements and vulnerable communities.

Department: UN-Habitat Brazil

• Provide technical and operational support for activities aligned with project objectives and outputs
• Coordinate campaigns, technical frameworks, capacity building and data-management processes
• Organise trainings, workshops, consultations and participatory activities with inclusive approaches
• Analyse urban indicators and prepare technical documents, reports and knowledge products
• Coordinate with government, civil society, academic and private-sector partners
• Track deliverables, timelines, procurement, recruitment and consultant performance
• Identify implementation risks and support practical mitigation measures
• Document lessons, good practices, meetings and project activities for knowledge sharing

• Bachelor's degree in architecture and urbanism, geography, law, administration, social sciences or a related field, or three additional years of relevant experience
• Minimum four years of experience in sustainable urban development projects in Brazil
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and web search tools
• Mastery of technological tools, software and online platforms
• Fluency in Portuguese

• Ten-month consultancy with possible extension
• Local appointment open to Brazilian nationals or candidates with permanent residence in Brazil
• Travel within Brazil may be required and funded under UN-Habitat rules
• Remuneration at LICA-2 with Cigna health insurance
• Extension depends on funding and performance
