Programme Analyst, Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health and Demographic Dividend

Manages UNFPA’s adolescent and youth reproductive-health and demographic-dividend portfolio in Guinea-Bissau, translating policy trends into programmes, monitoring results and budgets, and strengthening advocacy, partnerships and evidence for youth empowerment.

Department: Guinea-Bissau Country Office

• Analyse political, social and economic trends affecting youth and reproductive health
• Review policies and national plans for implications for country programming
• Design programme components with government, UN, civil-society and development partners
• Negotiate annual workplans and monitor implementing-partner delivery
• Guide implementation of reproductive-health and demographic-dividend projects
• Track results, constraints and corrective actions using monitoring tools
• Monitor expenditures, disbursements and delivery against budgets and targets
• Capture lessons and promote innovation in youth empowerment programming
• Prepare advocacy, policy-dialogue and resource-mobilisation materials
• Strengthen partnerships and social support mechanisms for behaviour change

• Master’s degree in peace studies, gender, public health with reproductive-health specialisation, social sciences or a related field
• At least three years of relevant professional experience
• Experience designing and managing youth, reproductive-health, gender-based-violence or empowerment programmes
• Experience in policy analysis, advocacy and sustainable-development human-rights work
• Fluency in Portuguese

• National fixed-term role based in Bissau and working across the Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health, demographic-dividend and HIV portfolios of the Guinea-Bissau Country Office.
