Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction, annual workplans, budgets and proposals for the Nexus Academy
- Manage project personnel, finances, assets, implementation targets and operational compliance
- Lead Steering Committee and Technical Advisory Group meetings and follow up partner decisions
- Maintain the curriculum and oversee high-quality training and learning services
- Measure outreach and impact and assure the quality of the Nexus Knowledge Hub
- Capture lessons through research and surveys and produce knowledge products
- Build partnerships with UN, donor and practitioner networks to advance nexus approaches
- Identify funding sources and develop concept notes and proposals for Academy expansion
- Manage donor engagement, reporting and visibility requirements
Requirements
- Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Public Administration, Process Engineering, Organisational Development, Knowledge Management, Systems Thinking or a relevant field, or a bachelor's degree in such a field with two additional years of experience
- Seven years of relevant experience with a master's degree, or nine years with a bachelor's degree, covering multi-stakeholder coordination, analysis, planning and programming in recovery, peacebuilding, humanitarian or crisis settings
- Track record designing and facilitating training and learning events
- Knowledge of United Nations institutional architecture, policies and operations across humanitarian, peace and development settings
- Experience in programme and project design, execution, financing and resource mobilisation
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French
