National Consultant - Design Communication, Advocacy and Campaign Materials

Designs communication, advocacy and campaign materials for UN Women’s work with the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, supporting project visibility, outreach and gender equality messaging.

• Develop high-quality advocacy materials and communication outputs
• Prepare concept notes, methodology and a communication strategy aligned with project objectives
• Provide technical assistance in media engagement and relations
• Produce visibility, outreach and reporting materials including media coverage, press releases and event summaries
• Submit periodic progress reports and communication deliverables
• Prepare a final report with gaps, lessons learned and actionable recommendations
• Travel regularly to RSLAF locations across Sierra Leone as required

• Master's degree or equivalent in communication, public policy and governance, gender or women's studies, international development or a related field, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of experience in communications, advocacy or public relations
• At least five years of experience in communications, events or campaign management or a related field, preferably with international organisations or companies
• Experience and knowledge of social media use
• Experience conducting research and analysis or review of social, economic and public policy trends
• Fluency in English

• Home-based consultancy open to residents living in Sierra Leone
• Regular travel to RSLAF locations in the regions is expected
• Consultant reports to the Head of Office with technical support from the programmes team
