Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate a participatory strategy development process for the Alliance
  • Assess current and emerging child protection in humanitarian action needs, trends, opportunities, risks and challenges
  • Assess the Alliance’s achievements, strengths, limitations and comparative advantage
  • Define the Alliance’s future role and strategic positioning in the humanitarian ecosystem
  • Build consensus among Alliance stakeholders on future priorities and strategic directions
  • Produce a validated strategic framework to guide the Alliance’s work from 2027 for 3 to 5 years

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably International Development, Development Studies, International Relations, Human Rights or International Law
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in strategic planning
  • Significant experience facilitating organisational or network strategy development processes
  • Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations and consensus-building processes
  • Experience working with global networks, alliances, areas of responsibility or membership-based organisations
  • Experience integrating localisation, participation and equity considerations into strategic planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Consultancy duration is 4.5 months with a remote working arrangement
