MICS Data Analysis Consultant – Longitudinal Child Well-being and Urban Analysis

Leads longitudinal and urban-inequality analysis of Nigeria’s MICS datasets, identifying trends and disparities in child survival and learning, building partner analytical capacity and converting statistical and geospatial findings into validated reports, briefs and policy recommendations.

• Analyse MICS3 to MICS7 trends in child survival and learning
• Develop methodologies and conceptual frameworks with UNICEF and government
• Conduct microdata, regression and geospatial analysis of urban inequalities
• Build partner capacity through virtual analytical workshops
• Validate findings with stakeholders and identify targeted interventions
• Produce technical reports, summary briefs and presentations
• Develop evidence-based policy recommendations from both analyses

• Master’s degree in demography, statistics, public health, data science or a related field with eight years of survey-analysis experience, or a doctorate with five years
• Expertise analysing large MICS or DHS datasets
• Experience with regression modelling, geospatial analysis and SDG indicator computation
• English
